Escape to the city of Bangkok

My recent trip to Thailand was an unexpected one, and I use the word trip lightly as it wasn’t for pleasure. I only managed to blog once whilst I was away, so I’d like to make up for the lack of posts by sharing my experience at the lovely Ad Lib Bangkok Hotel.

Although Ad Lib is located in central Bangkok, it has the ability to gracefully take you out of the city upon arrival.

“Tucked in the middle of all this hustle bustle is a hidden piece of privacy, a haven to return to after enjoying the life of the city.”

All chaos halts as you turn into Sukhumvit Soi 1, humbled by the greetings of the lovely staff of the hotel.

These parking signs were definitely a great first impression! Nothing beats good humour after hours of travelling.

Ad lib is situated within walking distance of Ploenchit and Nana BTS stations, however if you wish, there’s a complimentary Tuk-Tuk service that can take you there.

Super handy when you want to give your feet a heads up for a long day ahead.

The interior is very chic with beautifully accented furniture and light fittings. Not to forget fresh flowers everywhere.

The floor-to-ceiling windows induce an outdoor feel and created a seamless flow of natural ambience throughout the lobby come dining area.

Upstairs you’ll find a charming outdoor space to unwind which features the gym and pool.

Escaping to this cubby-hole to write up my last post on my chicken and mushroom pie was bliss. So peaceful.

Recognise these photos from my instagram?

Then there’s breakfast.. Well what can I say? With a spread like that, I’m a happy bunny.

I don’t think my photos do the place justice either! All I had with me was my iPhone 5s.

So I’ve taken a video and photos from the hotel’s website for you to check out.

With only 48 rooms, this is an intimate stay where you’re bound to see familiar faces walking the corridors and gracing the lobby or poolside. What I especially loved about the rooms were the smart and creative touches to save on space.

Oh and the shower is amazing. I could stand under that rain shower all day long!

Most importantly, the beds are very comfortable and their linens are hypoallergenic.

Apart from the great look and feel of Ad Lib Bangkok Hotel, I’d like to extend my warmest appreciation to the amazing staff that made my stay worth remembering.

I would, without a doubt recommend this hotel to anyone planning a getaway in Bangkok.
