Follow me to..

Leadenhall Market, only one way of describing it;

Jam-packed with City businessmen in their suits chatting away and chomping on their lunch, washing it all down with a pint of self rewarding beer.

If you’re into that sort of atmosphere, head over during the lunch hours.

Leadenhall market is a beautiful sight of old victorian architecture and cobbled roads. It dates back to the 14th century, originally a meat, poultry and game market. It now features commercial shops, market stalls, restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Opening hours are only over the weekdays, so don’t wait until the weekend to make this trip.

However, if you don’t mind visiting just to take in the landscape, by all means visit when the shops are closed.

East London

To me, this side of London always seemed to be slightlyΒ unwelcoming with its towering high-rise offices.

So it’s a breath of fresh air to see a bit of juxtaposition of old and new whilst taking a stroll in the area.

East London

Head further East (North East to be exact!) towards Broadway Market.

Now this is more of a place to get involved with the food scene!

Scotch egg anyone? hands down the best I’ve ever tasted!

Around every corner you’re pleasantly greeted with a talented musician. So stay a little while longer and bask in the music and mouth watering aromas of the market stalls.

After all that food you’ll want to walk it off with a wander through Victoria Park.

And if you continue walking along the canal, you’ll come across some funky vibrant graffiti.
